Charles Albert Morgan

Charles Albert Morgan, 78, of DuQuoin, passed away at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2000 in Marion.
Mr. Morgan worked for the Illinois Department of Public Aid for 39 years.  He attended Christian Fellowship Church.  He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army Signal Corps.
He was born May 12, 1921 at DuQuoin, the son of Albert Henry and Nellie Rose (Dunavan) Morgan.  He married Daphne G. Loucks on March 7, 1943 at St. Louis, MO.
Surviving are his wife, Daphne Morgan of DuQuoin; one son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. and Mary Morgan of Westlake, OH; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathi Morgan Tate and Wayne of Marion; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas E. and Frances Morgan of Venice, FL and five grandchildren, Nicole Tate, Kristen Morgan, Josh and wife Jennifer Tate, Michael Morgan and Megan Tate.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 12 at 11 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Church in DuQuoin with Pastor Percy Pavloff officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
Friends were able to call at Neal-McClure Funeral Home Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 until 9:30 a.m. at which time viewing was moved to the church until time of services.
Memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship School or Greater Marion Area Habitat for Humanity.
He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather whose family and church family was very important to him.
